MUVJBL Round 12 Recap

MUVJBL Round 12

Round 12 saw the Junior Braves winning 4 out of their 5 games, this means that the Junior Braves have 4 out of 5 teams in the top 4 of their respective leagues.

Under 14 Boys

The under 14 Boys, currently in 3rd position defeated Kilsyth at the Bendigo Stadium on Friday night 58 to 42. Player stats for the under 14 Boys team are currently unavailable. The under 14 Boys will be back at Bendigo on Friday to face off against 2nd placed Dandenong.

Under 16 Boys

The under 16 Boys defeated Eltham 60 to 43 at the Bendigo Stadium, they will face Knox next week at the Bendigo Stadium for their third home game in a row. Zachary Frye top scored for the Junior Braves with 15 points, Jordan Michel had 11 points and Jackson Fletcher chipped in with 9 points of his own. The under 16’s are slowly moving up the VC Champ ladder and are now in 2nd place only 2 points behind ladder leaders Nunawading.

Under 18 Boys

The under 18 Boys went down to the wire and pulled off a huge upset defeating then first placed Diamond Valley, this game knocked Diamond Valley down to second place and pulled the Braves off the bottom off the ladder. Caleb Connick carried the under 18’s to victory with his game high 19 points and Carlos Ly and Samuel Nitschike also scored 9 points to help the Bendigo boys to defeat Diamond Valley 47 to 45.

Under 14 Girls

The under 14 Girls couldn’t make it 3 wins in a row at MSAC against Casey going down to the Cavaliers 25 to 46. There were no stats for this game, however this leaves the Girls sitting in 4th place and still in finals contention.

Under 16 Girls

The under 16 Girls got back to winning ways on the road at Knox defeating the Raiders 46 to 61 points. This puts the Girls into the top 4 of the VC Champ ladder and are now only 4 points behind top of the league Southern Peninsula. Player stats for the under 16 Girls team are currently unavailable
