Life membership criteria

Criteria for Life membership of the Bendigo Basketball Association (B.B.A.)

    1. Nominations for the B.B.A. Lifetime Membership will be considered only on the basis of their contributions to, and achievements in, the B.B.A.
    2. Significant consideration given to length of service. i.e., Minimum of 20 years’ service to the B.B.A.
    3. Major emphasis being associated with a registered Club of the association involved in a club committee of management and or delegate positions.
    4. Significant consideration to being involved in coaching club teams and/or manager of a team(s).
    5. Significant consideration being involved with;
      1. Junior representative program and /or
      2. Technical Officials and /or
      3. Tribunal representative. and /or
      4. as a Coach, Player, Manager of
        1. Bendigo Braves
        2. Bendigo Spirit

To be eligible for a life membership, the nominated person must be of good character.

Singlet retirement criteria

When the Bendigo Basketball Association Awards committee receives a nomination, it will assess the application against the following criteria, and the nominated player must meet at least five of them.

  1. The nominated player must have been retired from playing for a period exceeding 12 months,
  2. Played more than 200 Senior Games for the Bendigo Braves. (SEABL, SEBL, CBA, ABA, NBL1),
  3. Received multiple league awards over multiple seasons,
  4. Received multiple club awards over multiple seasons,
  5. Service to the Bendigo Basketball Association,
  6. Been a large contributor to the Bendigo Basketball Community on and off the court,
  7. Must have had a positive impact in the Bendigo community,
  8. Players Conduct on and off the court must be taken into consideration,
