The project was delivered in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo, with Development Victoria overseeing delivery on behalf of Sport and Recreation Victoria as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program. Fairbrother Pty Ltd was the head contractor, with City Collective as lead designer.
The redevelopment also features stunning artworks by Dja Dja Wurrung artists Troy Firebrace and Melissa Taylor, bringing a distinctive connection to Country and community throughout the interior and exterior of the venue.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part in bringing the project to life, and to our members, sporting clubs, participants and visitors for their patience while works have taken place around a busy, operating venue.
Further information about the new courts, community sport opportunities, bookings and Term 4 scheduling will be shared in the coming weeks as we bring the expanded facilities fully into operation.
With the opening of the new courts, we have taken the opportunity to renumber our existing courts as well. Click the link below for a map of the new numbering system.
We’re also looking forward to welcoming the wider Bendigo community to an official community opening event in the coming months, with more details to come.
