Life membership criteria
Criteria for Life membership of the Bendigo Basketball Association (B.B.A.)

- Nominations for the B.B.A. Lifetime Membership will be considered only on the basis of their contributions to, and achievements in, the B.B.A.
- Significant consideration given to length of service. i.e., Minimum of 20 years’ service to the B.B.A.
- Major emphasis being associated with a registered Club of the association involved in a club committee of management and or delegate positions.
- Significant consideration to being involved in coaching club teams and/or manager of a team(s).
- Significant consideration being involved with;
- Junior representative program and /or
- Technical Officials and /or
- Tribunal representative. and /or
- as a Coach, Player, Manager of
- Bendigo Braves
- Bendigo Spirit
To be eligible for a life membership, the nominated person must be of good character.

When the Bendigo Basketball Association Awards committee receives a nomination, it will assess the application against the following criteria, and the nominated player must meet at least five of them.
- The nominated player must have been retired from playing for a period exceeding 12 months,
- Played more than 200 Senior Games for the Bendigo Braves. (SEABL, SEBL, CBA, ABA, NBL1),
- Received multiple league awards over multiple seasons,
- Received multiple club awards over multiple seasons,
- Service to the Bendigo Basketball Association,
- Been a large contributor to the Bendigo Basketball Community on and off the court,
- Must have had a positive impact in the Bendigo community,
- Players Conduct on and off the court must be taken into consideration,
