BENDIGO ROLLER BRAVES RETURN THIS SATURDAY!
Our Bendigo Roller Braves took to the court for their first training session in preparation for the upcoming Victorian Wheelchair Basketball League (VWBL) season.
The creation of the VWBL will give our wheelchair athletes the chance to show off their skills on a regular basis, after years of training.
Roller Braves coach Lauren Robinson said the opportunity to coach Bendigo was one not to miss out on.
“After being asked if I would like the opportunity to head coach at Bendigo, I could not have said yes quicker.
This is this my first head coaching role in the wheelchair basketball space, and I felt I not only would be well supported by Bendigo basketball and the athletes, but also be able to provide a new insight into my perspective of the game to a group of athletes, with the majority that I have not coached before.”
Robinson is excited by the connection of the team which is filled with pace and experienced personnel.
“Our pace and ability to make reads of each other’s actions really excites me, especially as the group had not been together before. The culture and sense of collective development from everyone gives me good confidence in our ability to go out and be a strong competitor within the league whilst enjoying the process of it all.”
Be there and support our Bendigo Roller Braves at Red Energy Arena!
