Return to Domestic Basketball Update

  • A maximum of 24 people per team to enter the venue.
  • Timing rules for all matches (except U10’s) will remain at:
    • 2 x 18-minute halves and 1 minute half time.
    • Running clock throughout.
    • This 40-minute timeslot allows us to meet the mandated 20-minute gap between matches.
  • Entry to the venue is via the designated entry point as shown below.
    • Doors will open 10 minutes prior to the match start time.
    • QR code will be available prior to entry.
    • Hand Sanitizer will be available prior to entry.
  • Exit must be immediate and via the designated exit point.
  • Masks MUST be worn at all times whilst indoors for people over 12 years of age.
    • Players, team staff and referees are not required to during their match.

Please Note:

  • The Bendigo Stadium canteen will not be in operation
  • The Bistro doors connecting to the Stadium foyer will be locked

To ensure a safe and compliant environment for the return of domestic basketball please be advised of the following important information that is applicable from Friday 18 June 2021.

  • A maximum of 12 people per team to enter the venue.
    • This includes players and team staff.
    • There is a limit of 300 people to be inside the venue
  • Timing rules for all matches (except U10’s) will be changed to:
    • 2 x 18-minute halves and 1 minute half time.
    • Running clock throughout.
    • This 40-minute timeslot allows us to meet the mandated 20-minute gap between matches.
  • Entry to the venue is via the designated entry point as shown below.

We are excited to advise that domestic basketball and programs will return to Bendigo Stadium from Friday 18 June. More information regarding the COVID protocols will be distributed shortly.

The Victorian Government, on advice from the Department of Health, has eased restrictions from the circuit-breaker lockdown for Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria, with these measures starting from Thursday 17 June at 11.59pm.

Regional Victoria
With the lessening of circuit-breaker restrictions in Regional Victoria, basketball in those regions will be able to move to the ORANGE-50 REACTIVATION LEVEL, with a maximum venue capacity of 300 people per venue.

Density Quotient
Venues will be required to maintain a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm in both Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
