Bendigo Basketball is very happy to announce that Under 16’s Bendigo Braves player Mia Harvey will lead the Under 16’s Country Victoria at the Australian Junior Championships team in Perth.

Harvey said she is excited to be able to lead the team out.

“I’m really grateful for the opportunity and really excited to lead the team in Perth alongside Eve Covey, the aim is to win a medal.

Bendigo Basketball Director of Coaches & Athlete Development Joe Hurst, was full of praise for Mia.

“She’s a good example as to an athlete that’s travelled our pathway and navigated the high-performance pathway.

“She is one of those kids that will most likely achieve every step of the Bendigo pathway all the way to the WNBL. It’s a real credit to her work ethic, commitment to the game and her IQ”.

The Australian Junior Championships begin Sunday July 2nd, and will wrap up on Sunday July 9th.
